I was teaching a lesson the other day and we were talking about people having an identity crisis. I told the students that when I went from a Christian to a public school I had a major identity crisis. It was a totally different atmosphere and things that were cool at LCS were not cool at the public school. So I told my class that at the Christian school corduroys were cool. So on my first day at public school I wore my incredibly stylish green corduroys and a tucked in yellow shirt. One girl in the front (who up to this point never talked to me and ignored me) put her head down and started cracking up. She raised he hand and said "Wait. So you thought green corduroys were cool?" At this point I realized I had become my father. So I said to her, "Hey I was Mr. style man with my green corduroys and yellow shirt. The ladies loved me". Now she calls me Mr. Style and makes sure I know she does not forget I wore green corduroys. Middle schoolers are awesome.

First Day at a Public School
I am currently in what I call a half student teaching class. I go to a school a couple times a week and observe and teach a few lessons. I have noticed a couple things. The first thing is that I absolutely love being a teacher (at least so far). The students are phenomenal and I have never gotten up at 700 AM and been excited. IT is a wonderful feeling. The second thing I noticed is that interaction with these students is giving me some wonderful stories. So I thought I would share them.

Hey Mr.! I take exception to that story because, unlike you, I AM, Mr. Style man!
